Dynaudio Evoke 10 is the entry step of the innovative series of the same name by the Danish manufacturer. Evoke 10 is the smallest pedestal speaker in the range and allows you to equip yourself with High End speakers even where the space available to the speakers, or the size of the room, leads you to choose a compact speaker. Despite the contained volume, the performances of which Evoke 10 is the protagonist are first-rate. The all-new design and top-range derived drivers make Evoke soar more than its staid exterior might suggest.
Good music lies in the small Evoke…
Description
Dynaudio Evoke 10 are small bookshelf HiFi speakers
Plug in the Dynaudio Evoke 10s and then have a friend take a listen. We bet he's wondering where the other speakers are! And you smile…, you make him relax, you touch his shoulder and invite him to sit on the sofa. And then get up a bit…
Dynaudio creates compact speakers that perform out of proportion to their physical size. Evoke 10 are no exception. These speakers, while compact, are truly serious HiFi speakers… built for the purest entertainment.
Honest Danish design
Evoke 10 is available in four beautiful finishes: Gloss Black, Gloss White, Walnut Wood and Blond Wood. The glossy versions are incredible: new lacquering techniques have resulted in a sumptuous, almost glass-like finish. The wood versions use a tactile, open natural veneer for a soft, warm feel.
You may notice that there are no visible screws. Evoke has simple, clean trim rings that emphasize the finish of the cabinet and moving parts of the drivers. Clean, beautiful and honest. How Danish!
Small, precious, hi-end, beautiful. It means you can take them with you when you move… and, we bet, you'll enjoy them for a lifetime.
Classic Dynaudio heritage… with a twist!
Each speaker's single 14cm mid/bass driver is made from MSP (Magnesium Silicate Polymer), just like all Dynaudio speakers for decades. They use new flanges to increase extension, linearize frequency response and low-end dynamics – all while maintaining excellent midrange performance.
Want to know what's behind the woofer? The diaphragm is 0.4mm thin, providing exactly the right combination of lightness, stiffness and damping to ensure optimum performance. The entire cone is made in one piece (the dust cap is part of the playing surface) and is glued to the rigid fiberglass voice coil directly at the bracing around the central dome. This means that the entire unit moves as one body, in a predictable (and carefully tuned) way, for a final performance that strikes the ideal balance between bass and midrange.
Dynaudio Evoke 20's Nomex centering device keeps the woofer centered while the new Contour-derived flange allows for more excursion, for greater dynamic impact.
The 38mm voice coil is made from aluminum, making it extremely light. This means that multiple wraps can be used. More windings give more control over the movement of the cone, which means more control over the sound, even at high volumes and high frequencies. Everything is kept stable, centered and aligned to the basket by the Nomex “spider” centering device (whose circular coil construction dampens the moving cone when it shouldn't be moving and makes it move when it should).
The ensemble is led by one of our new and powerful strontium carbonate ceramic magnet systems with Ferrite+.
Cerotar: a brand new tweeter
The top is the brand new 28mm Cerotar soft dome tweeter. Dynaudio engineers looked behind the “curtain” of the award-winning Special Forty tweeter and the incredible new Confidence tweeters and chose a few key technologies to bring to Evoke. The main component is the Hexis, an intelligent internal dome that tunes the rear airflow to linearize the frequency response and eliminate unwanted resonances.
The Cerotar, like the woofer, is powered by a powerful Ferrite+ ceramic magnet assembly.
The link between the drivers is a high quality, second order crossover using Confidence's design with different components. So, yeah, when we say you're getting really high-end tech, we mean it.
Main features of Dynaudio Evoke 10
New Cerotar tweeter
A new 28 mm Ferrite+ soft dome tweeter, inspired by Tweeter Special Forty and new Confidences
Hexis
An intelligent internal anti-resonance dome, which derives directly from the most exclusive Dynaudio lines
