Description
Cable for digital connections Chord C-Digital
The Chord C-Digital cable was developed by the famous cable brand to let you feel the goodness of some of the cheaper DAC converters (digital to analog converter). The Chord C-DIGITAL is designed to work with all components featuring a coaxial digital output: CD players, streaming devices, BluRay players, and any other component with a digital output.
The Tuned ARAY conductor configuration was developed to improve the performance of digital cables and the difference is easy to hear. The care with which the C-Digital patch cord has been designed will begin to give you an idea of what your system can really do.
Here are the key features of Chord's entry level HiFi digital cable:
Tuned ARAY conductor geometry
Oxygen-free copper conductors
High density over glued foil shield
The special gold-plated RCA jack improves signal transfer
The over-molded plug connector offers high reliability and does not impact the conductor in any way
Chord C-Digital is designed to work with all components equipped with a coaxial digital output: CD players, streaming devices, miscellaneous players, and any other component with a digital output. C-Digital is available in 0.5m and 1m lengths.
How a digital coaxial cable is made
Coaxial digital audio cable is one of the most common methods for sending digital audio between devices. This cable has a single male RCA connector, one RCA for each side in particular. The port you're using will often be labeled "coax," but it might just say something like "digital out" or "digital in." Unlike analog stereo audio, coaxial digital audio requires only one cable to transfer the signal.
You don't always have to spend large sums on expensive "high-end" coaxial cable, but a slightly more expensive cable like C-LINE C-Digital from a major brand will always sound better than a cheap cable.
