CD player with sophisticated high-precision mechanics. Texas Instruments Premium Series 32bit/384KHz D/A conversion system. Custom analog output filters. Independent power supply section for digital and analog circuits. Ultra-fast capacitors. Coaxial digital output and analog output. 2-line VFD graphic display. 12V trigger control. RS-232. Rotel Link. Remote control supplied.
Rotel CD14 MKII reproduces all CDs with astonishing clarity, full of details. The Texas Instruments 32-bit DAC is supported by an independent power supply stage, as well as servomechanisms, completely isolated from the audio circuitry, reducing noise and distortion. The MKII model includes updates and innovations, both acoustic and performance, including improvements in the power supply stage, in the circuit layout with new isolation techniques, as well as in the use of new selected audio components, for more accurate and detailed sound reproduction .
The CD14MKII's digital-to-analog conversion is handled by a Texas Instruments Premium Series 32-bit DAC with custom Rotel external analog output filters. The digital and analog circuits of the DAC section are managed by independent voltage/current supplies which eliminate unwanted distortion. The audio output is both analog RCA and digital coaxial, allowing the CD14MKII to also be used only as a transport mechanism, leaving the digital signal to be managed by an external DAC. The CD tray loading mechanism has been further refined and made quieter than before. Remote control, buttons on the front panel, graphic display, RS232, 12V trigger and IR remote input complete the rich features of this Rotel CD.
Highlights compared to the previous version Rotel CD11:
- Motorized and extremely silent CD loading tray
- RCA analogue and coaxial digital output to use the CD only as transport mechanism
- Front graphic VFD display arranged on two lines Separate power supply stages in both voltage and current for the various CD circuits
- Texas Instruments 32-bit Premium Series DAC
- Integration with control systems via RS232, 12V trigger and IR input
