Elipson Sound Tree is a work of art signed by the versatile designer Jean-Yves Le Porcher.
It represents the perfect synthesis of design and sound or, if we want, of sound as a furnishing element and an ideal complement to the living room. It is the perfect paradigm of the motto "THE SOUND THAT FURNISHES".
Words do not do justice to the beauty of the project and the work, already present in the best design showrooms and in many fashionable locations around the world. It was originally created in a bright red, wanted by the artist, the absolute protagonist in the environments that host it, presented in Italy at the Milan Triennale, it is now used in design projects, to give identity and recognition to public places and trendy clubs , to give prestige to executive offices or a touch of artistic modernity to the most prominent penthouses.
Elipson Sound Tree not only spreads the sound: it becomes the very symbol of the place in which it is placed. Elipson Sound Tree, the sound tree, is made up of an imposing trunk from which long lianas spread which, suspended from the ceiling, spread throughout the environment even over great distances. Floating branches bear 12 fruits, expertly placed in the environment, which spread the sound everywhere.
The audio produced is highly immersive and the sound effect is able to leave you breathless, like the imposing beauty of the system. Thanks to the high performance two-way coaxial loudspeakers and the powerful Sound Tree active subwoofer, it is able to acoustically cover even the largest and most demanding environments.
The best stereo or surround sound system in the world comes only remotely close to the effect of a live music performance.
Many great systems feature a significantly expansive sound stage. Some sounds come from the right and some from the left – pleasantly but still not quite right. Now Elipson has come very close to the desired effect, the live effect, the sensation of pervasiveness. Sound Tree is not another piece of electronics, it is a large art-tech installation which – in homage to recent cinematic developments – would not look out of place in Tony Stark's garage. Sound Tree is remarkable, and it is everywhere thanks to the 12 spherical and shiny "fruits" weighing 2.5 kg each! Each fruit is a 30-watt coaxial speaker with a 4-inch driver and a 0.75-inch tweeter.
All hang from the ceiling at different heights, then the cable-branch returns to a central “trunk”, which is also a 1-meter-high, 25 kg subwoofer containing an 8-inch dedicated low-frequency driver. It's a surprising setup, whether in a room, like in the Paris apartment shown in the photo, or in a large hallway.
Is it as addictive as they say and how it looks?
Elipson Sound Tree is, in fact, an unorthodox multi-channel audio system with a considerable scenic impact. An interesting aspect is that a stereo signal - therefore in effect two different audio channels, the classic right and left - are each assigned to six loudspeakers. By skilfully mixing the “left” and “right” speakers you get an incredibly realistic spatial effect that you can walk around and in. It's not live music yet, but it's surprisingly close. “Sound Tree is pure art, it leaves you speechless”
THE SOUND OF THE TWELVE “FRUIT”
Elipson Sound Tree diffuses the sound from the ceiling, suspending 12 fruits capable of perfectly sonorous the environment and giving a unique design to the space in which it is installed, without the slightest footprint on the ground. The audio quality of the coaxial drivers is simply amazing, in the Elipson tradition.
A PERFECTLY COORDINATED SYSTEM
The heart of the system is the large trunk inside which a powerful subwoofer is hidden and from which the 12 branches that will bring the music to fruition start. The mastermind of the system is the Music Center, the special red edition, which functions as an all-in-one integrated audio system. Designed to amplify multiple speakers and play all your media directly from CD, Bluetooth, USB and various other physical inputs. The system is perfectly coordinated in color, to guarantee the perfect aesthetic combination of all the components.
