Elipson Chroma 200 is a satin black finish turntable made in France.
It is equipped with an Ortofon OM10 cartridge and an aluminum arm lifter for a "delicate" use.
Available in three versions: basic model (Elipson Chroma 200), version with integrated preamplifier (Elipson Chroma 200 Riaa) and version with Bluetooth module (Elipson Chroma 200 Riaa BT).
Elipson Chroma 200
The Elipson Chroma 200 turntable is the entry-level model in the new Chroma series of turntables. Matte black turntable with an elegant and minimal design that fits perfectly into any living environment. Improved aesthetics Made in France, the Elipson Chroma 200 turntables succeed the previous Alpha models with important technological advances and new aesthetic features.
This model now features an aluminum cartridge lifter arm, a new frame material, graduation on the counterweight and a free mechanical scale.
Ortofon OM-10E cartridge
The Elipson Chroma 200 turntables are fitted with an Ortofon OM-10E cartridge by default. This reference model from the famous Danish manufacturer consists of a diamond with an elliptical profile which ensures excellent traceability of the groove of vinyl records. The variations contained in the grooves are transcribed by a generator of MM (Moving Magnet) technology.
The frequency response of this cartridge is between 20 Hz and 25 kHz.
Channel separation is 22 dB (at 1 kHz).
New engine
The new engine and modified suspension represent more than four years of research and development to ensure optimal technical performance and sound quality. In addition, the new turntable from the French house has an additional turntable axis system for smoother listening.
Well known for its spherical speakers, Elipson offers with the Elipson Chroma 200 an elegant, easy to use and above all musical turntable. The Elipson Chroma 200 turntable combines form and function with undeniable know-how.
Most of the elements of the turntable were designed in a mechanical process.
This is the case of the aluminum OTT (Orbital Torsion Tonearm) with its torsional and circular balancing system that allows for a high quality adjustable anti-slip system.
The Elipson Chroma 200 turntable has a cartridge lift system that allows you to lower and raise the arm evenly.
The Elipson Chroma 200 turntable also has a new digital drive motor ASC (Auto Speed Control) that allows you to adjust the speed with great precision.
This engine is mechanically suspended by an optimized system to reduce vibrations as much as possible.
The new stamped steel plate is associated with a revised rotation axis to ensure high inertia and a very stable reading speed.
The speed selection (33/45/78 rpm) is done automatically.
Guide to choosing a turntable
The Elipson Chroma 200 turntable is available in three versions: Elipson Chroma 200
The basic model is the Chroma 200. It can be connected to the PHONO input of the amplifier. If the amplifier does not have one, it requires an external Phono preamplifier.
Elipson Chroma 200 Riaa
The next step is the Chroma 200 Riaa model which equips a preamplifier module inside. It means that you can conveniently connect it to any AUX input thus making it very easy to connect to various devices.
The RIAA version features a RIAA (Phono Stage MM/MC High Quality) preamplifier able to equalise/amplify the output signal for line level connection. In a nutshell, with this option it is possible to directly connect your Chroma 200 Riaa directly to an AUX/LINE input of your audio amplifier. For years now, electronics have not provided, except in particular cases, the input dedicated to the turntable. Normally, connecting a turntable to your amplifier requires the purchase of a dedicated external preamplifier. In this case, Elipson solves the procedure by inserting the PHONO card inside the turntable in order to obtain the output level such that it can be connected to any LINE level input.
Elipson Chroma 200 Riaa Bluetooth
In addition to all the functions of the previous models, the most advanced version of the Chroma 200 also provides connectivity via Bluetooth AptX HD. Ideal for sending the vinyl signal to any modern device with a Bluetooth input. Through the USB port and a special software (Audacity) it is possible to rip your vinyls in digital format.
