Cambridge CXN100 is the HiFi Streamer and Network Player, successor to the award-winning CXN v2, capable of elevating playback from the most popular streaming platforms including TIDAL, Spotify, Deezer and Qobuz. It also integrates the Spotify Connect and TIDAL Connect protocols as well as Chromecast and AirPlay 2, so as to allow both Android and Apple users to access any platform. In addition to the physical coaxial, USB and Toslink inputs, it obviously also includes the aptX Bluetooth connection. Cambridge CXN100 is certified Roon Ready.

Cambridge CXN100 – the Network Player of the CX series

Cambridge CXN100 is the heir to the famous streamer and network player of the English brand, which has now become a bestseller, as well as the first streamer to officially enter the What Hi-Fi? Wall of Fame. Thanks to its very intuitive interface, it allows you to play music from the most popular streaming platforms quickly and easily.

In addition to this new streamer, Cambridge Audio's renowned CX Series includes two integrated amplifiers, the CX A61 and CX A81, and the CXC v2 CD transport. But the CXN100 is much more than a simple update of the CXN V2: it has been completely redesigned to benefit from cutting-edge components and Cambridge Audio's latest proprietary StreamMagic module, now in its fourth generation. The result is a real generational leap in terms of sound quality, versatility and value for money. CXN100 will instantly transform any Hi-Fi system into a future-proof system!

The CXN100 is compatible with an even wider range of music streaming services, including Spotify Connect, Tidal Connect Dezer and Qobuz, Internet Radio, as well as Chromecast, Airplay 2, Roon Ready protocols, all controllable from StreamMagic, the proprietary App designed entirely in the London laboratories.

The design of the CXN100 also continues to be minimalist and elegant but above all very modern, thanks to its 4.76-inch color display, which allows you to comfortably navigate between songs and playlists, of which it also reproduces the covers in very high definition. A real touch of Cambridge style.

Streaming HiFi Sound

Cambridge Audio has been making innovative, British-sounding, natural and transparent, but above all excellently designed, audio products since the introduction of the revolutionary P40 amplifier – in 1968. Like all Cambridge products, the CXN100 has been designed, developed and engineered at their London HQ, Melomania.

The upgrade from CXN V2 to CXN100 is not just a subtle change, but a complete mechanical redesign. Cambridge's engineering wizards, obsessed with the musical outcome, spent hundreds of hours listening to the critical elements, fine-tuning the entire audio stage with the best components on the market.

Starting from the digital-to-analog converter (DAC), a fundamental element within any streamer, and it is no coincidence that it has been updated: The ESS ES9028Q2M SABRE32 reference DAC, located at the heart of the CXN100, is thus capable of handle PCM digital signal inputs up to 32 bits and 768 kHz and DSD 512 with extreme precision, superb dynamic range and virtually non-existent distortion.

Thanks to the technological advances made, from a conversion point of view, this streamer works much better than the CXN V2 and its Wolfson DAC. The timing filter inside the ESS 9028Q2M is so good that no post-DAC filtering is needed, further simplifying the signal path and resulting in precise, jitter-free, class-leading audio clarity.

Significant changes have also been made to the post-DAC analog stage, with new capacitors and more efficient operational amplifiers that increase the signal-to-noise ratio, and further reduce distortion.
