Concord Music, the new Ortofon line

Ortofon has well exceeded 100 years of activity, having been founded in 1918. It has always been a company focused on innovation: immediately after the war it developed the first lathe for engraving mono phonographic lacquers, while in 1948 it engineered the first moving coil cartridge in the world, achieving a series of successes year after year, including the development of the first stereophonic lathe for engraving lacquers. Today Ortofon is the most qualified, reliable and varied point of reference for the entire world that revolves around the Black Record. It boasts the widest catalogue in the world, ranging from MM and MC cartridges, accessories, arms, both for Hi-Fi and professional DJs, the famous Concorde line, which today debuts with an exquisitely Hi-Fi version, the Concorde Music.

The first Concorde cartridge was developed in the 90s to simplify installation as much as possible, it was in fact the first high quality cartridge that did not require screws or wires, earning, for its design, also the Danish Industrial Design Award, and then becoming an icon of the audio industry, first amateur and then professional, due to the disarming simplicity with which it was possible to make a replacement, a fundamental characteristic in the pro world.

Now a completely new line is coming out, Concorde Music, which winks at the exquisitely Hi-Fi market. Five new models, which follow the same classification used for the other cartridges in the range, that is, the color. It starts with the Red, then Blue, Bronze, Black, and Black LVB250, all with an output voltage of 6mV and an aluminum cantilever with the sole exception of LVB which has it in boron. The styles are all different, the Red elliptical, the simplest, then naked elliptical for Blue, Fine Line on board Bronze, and Shibata on Black and LVB.

4 coil system for all with silver OFC cables, and internal silver plated connection cables, they all have the same weight, 18 grams, and identical tracking at 1.8gr as per tradition, so that you can make a replacement one on the other without having to do any calibration. For the stylus suspensions, the exclusive Ortofon rubber compounds are then used, all carefully produced in-house and developed by the Ortofon research and engineering team to guarantee maximum performance and reliability.
