Direct-Drive motor system

It follows a long Denon tradition of direct drive motor systems, with rotational speed that does not fluctuate regardless of speed or load selected. Simple to use, requires little maintenance and reaches maximum speed almost instantly. Denon produced its first direct-drive turntable, the DN-302F, for studios in 1970.

Original Denon static balance S-shaped tonearm

It features a carefully designed S-shaped curved arm with optimized tracking angle anywhere on the record. This newly improved Denon® tonearm features head weight adjustment, anti-skating adjustment (0-3g) and newly developed tonearm height adjustment (0-9mm). It gives you maximum flexibility to customize your turntable based on your favorite cartridges or custom mat.

Space vector PWM motor control

Space vector pulse width modulation (SV-PWM) is a new design for controlling motor rotation. SV-PWM is simply an algorithm used to control the PWM (pulse width modulation) module, which basically powers the motor. SV-PWM greatly reduces harmonics in the motor that can cause overheating and torque fluctuations, and offers reliable continuous voltage and frequency output for long listening periods at any rotational speed or load, via continuous rotational speed feedback.

SMPS power supply

Switch mode power supply (SMPS) significantly improves the performance of turntables, avoiding the use of a linear transformer and unnecessary vibrations. Allows integration of the power supply into the turntable, eliminating any external power transformers or power supplies dangling behind the product. It also avoids voltage and frequency fluctuations due to variations in the electrical grid.

Adjustable insulating feet

The feet are critical to protecting playback from any vibrations detected by the surface the turntable is placed on. But these feet are also adjustable to bring the cymbal perfectly balanced for more accurate needle tracking in the groove.
