PRO-JECT DEBUT PRO S BALANCED

Turntable with S-shaped tonearm and factory-preset Pick it S2 C cartridge, belt drive, 33/45 and 78 rpm speeds (with included belt) electronically adjustable.

New version of the Debut PRO S, the Balanced, which replaces the previous one.

It is part of the Debut line that was born in the mid-90s, at the peak of CD popularity, when, however, there were still many nostalgic for analog music.

Heinz Lichtenegger, Deus Ex Machina of Pro-Ject, to intercept that need, created his first turntable, the Pro-Ject 1, then Debut, designed so that it could sound like a hi-end product, but at a price also accessible to the young people of the time.

Debut PRO S Balanced is the latest incarnation of the numerous Debut variants, with factory pre-calibrated Pick it S2 C cartridge, and 10" S-shaped tonearm with SME connector.

The balanced connection, introduced for some time in some models of the Austrian manufacturer, allows to significantly reduce noise, which for small signals such as those of a cartridge assumes a crucial importance.

It can be combined with the Phono Box S3 B or Phono Box DS3 B pre-phono, both equipped with Mini-XLR input. The Mini XLR connection cable must be purchased among those of the Pro-Ject range, such as Connect It (E, S, DS or RS Series) Phono MiniXLR.

Included with Debut PRO S Balanced is the Connect it E RCA with semi-balanced geometry, low capacitance and above-average shielding that allows connection to any standard unbalanced Phono input.

The platter is made of aluminum with a TPE (thermoplastic elastomer) ring capable of completely damping resonances, also increasing its weight up to 1.7 Kg.

The TPE is inserted below the platter, along the entire edge of the circumference; with the rotation movement it also creates a flywheel effect, with a consequent reduction of wow & flutter.

3 support feet, adjustable in height, to ensure perfect leveling on any surface, and TPE also in the new motor suspension used through a sandwich construction technique in which a new low-profile motor takes place.

As standard, then, the electronic speed control 33.3 and 45 rpm via the activation of a switch, and a belt for 78 rpm is included, so as to listen to that format as well without great tribulations.

The speed change switch is positioned below the base, to maintain a clean and symmetrical design on the top, as per Debut tradition.

The 10'' S-shaped aluminum tonearm is one of the peculiarities of this PRO S, it makes a minimal tracking error, especially towards the inner grooves, increasing the effective mass of the tonearm, which makes it more suitable also for heavier MC cartridges.

It has adjustable VTA and azimuth; and the height is calibrated by simply loosening the two fixing screws, allowing to adapt the tonearm to any mat or other cartridges, always obtaining the best sound quality.

The Debut PRO S Balanced, in satin black color, is already available.
